adminIl Motorportpark Gelderland Midden di Arnhem ha ospitato il sedicesimo round del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2024, il Gran Premio dei Paesi Bassi. Nel corso del fine settimana, il circuito olandese, caratterizzato da un fondo sabbioso, si è scavato profondamente diventando particolarmente impegnativo.
Ventunesimo nelle prove cronometrate, Ivo Monticelli (Beta RX450) si è ben difeso in qualifica terminando in diciannovesima posizione dopo una discreta partenza. Sfortunatamente la prima manche è partita subito in salita per il pilota, coinvolto nella caduta di gruppo avvenuta subito dopo lo start, si è ritrovato tra gli ultimi e con il freno posteriore danneggiato. Il problema tecnico ha influito pesantemente sul suo piazzamento finale, venticinquesimo. Nella seconda manche Ivo ha confermato quanto di buono aveva fatto vedere in qualifica chiudendo ancora al diciannovesimo posto, molto vicino ai piloti che lo precedevano.
Ivo Monticelli: “Sono contento di come è andato questo fine settimana perché complessivamente siamo migliorati rispetto alle gare precedenti. Sabato in qualifica non ero partito benissimo ma ho tenuto un buon ritmo fino al traguardo e ho chiuso diciannovesimo, e vicino al gruppo di piloti che mi precedeva. Domenica nella prima manche sono rimasto coinvolto nella caduta in partenza e si è rotta la leva del freno posteriore per l’urto con la moto di un avversario. Ho spinto al massimo per recuperare ma in quelle condizioni era davvero difficile e ho finito in venticinquesima posizione. Nella seconda manche sono partito intorno alla dodicesima posizione ma nei primi giri ho faticato a trovare il ritmo. Ho perso alcune posizioni ma in seguito ho iniziato a girare meglio e ho terminato diciannovesimo. La cosa positiva di questa gara è che dopo tante difficoltà siamo riusciti a migliorare i nostri risultati sulla sabbia, grazie al grande lavoro svolto nelle ultime settimane. Nei prossimi giorni continueremo la preparazione in Belgio per puntare a fare ancora meglio nella prossima gara in Svizzera.”
L’ MRT Racing Team Beta Factory proseguirà senza sosta il cammino nel Mondiale Motocross 2024 e il prossimo fine settimana scenderà in pista nel circuito di Frauenfeld per il Gran Premio della Svizzera, diciassettesimo appuntamento della stagione.

The Motorportpark Gelderland Midden in Arnhem hosted the 16th round of the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix of the Netherlands. During the weekend the Dutch track, characterised by a sandy surface, became particularly challenging.
Twenty-first in the timed practice, Ivo Monticelli (Beta RX450) defended himself well in the qualifying session, finishing nineteenth after a good start. Unfortunately, the rider was involved in a group crash immediately after the start of the first heat and found himself at the back of the grid with a damaged rear brake. The technical problem greatly affected his final position, twenty-fifth. In the second heat Ivo confirmed the good pace he had shown in qualifying, again finishing nineteenth, very close to the riders in front of him.
[16:37, 19/08/2024] Emy 16: Ivo Monticelli: “I’m happy with the way this weekend went because overall we improved compared to the previous races. On Saturday in qualifying I didn’t get off to a good start but I kept a good pace until the end and finished nineteenth, close to the group of riders in front of me. On Sunday in the first race I was involved in a crash at the start and the rear brake lever broke after colliding with an opponent’s bike. I pushed hard to recover but it was really difficult in those conditions and I finished 25th. I started the second moto in twelfth position but struggled to find my rhythm in the first few laps. I lost a few positions but then I started to get better laps and finished in nineteenth place. The positive thing about this race is that after so many difficulties we have managed to improve our results on sand, thanks to the great work we have done over the last few weeks. Over the next few days we will continue our preparation in Belgium and aim to do even better in the next race in Switzerland”.
The MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will continue in the 2024 Motocross World Championship, taking to the track of Frauenfeld next weekend for the Swiss Grand Prix, the 17th round of the season.
